Rococo: The Age of Pleasure And Loose Women

First things first. The title of this research blog to some may be frowned at. Because the title suggests that women are loose. To the modern person that is classified as being sexist or what is called misogyny. What we are engaged with here has got nothing to do with those views.

When we say “loose women” that was the language that was used during those times we are dealing with. History, true history, solid history should empathy even the tempo and the trend of the times. History cannot be mutilated to suit a different context.

Rococo: The Age of Pleasure And Loose Women.

Rococo period happened slowly, very slowly, over generations, in fact, and the full results of the Rococo were not felt until the Roaring 1920’s. Rococo is a period took over the Baroque period. Eugen Weber has a program dedicated to the Rococo period in his Western Tradition series.

If you want to have a firm grip of understanding the Rococo period, then you have to have a background understanding of the Baroque period. During the Baroque period everything was stiff and unchanging or made to change slowly. There was the regularity and life was functioning like a clock with the exact beat of time.

First there was the King and Queen who set the stage on how xonduct in life should be. Then there was the traditional family, where the man assume his natural role as the head of the family completely and the wife pretty much in the shadows. Society was almost entirely rural and agricultural. In other words, most homes were farms. There were cities and some industry, of course, but where industries existed they were almost entirely home industries run by individual families. But everything started to loosened up.

Furniture loosened up. Women dresses became lighter. And women invested much energy in the art of being pleasurable, and men began to play with women just for fun. Books began to emerged aimed at women. They taught how women as they age can conceal the evidence of age, and how to make the most stubbornly red and rough hands beautifully soft and white. How to make the cheek glow with health, and the neck, arms and hands to rival the lily in whiteness.

How to cure and prevent redness and roughness, and to make the skin soft, smooth, white and delicate, producing a perfectly natural appearance. It teaches how to cure and refine a coarse skin, so that it will be clear and white. How to have soft, white and attractive hands, even though compelled to do housework. This was the age that looks much more like our age. Men were taught how to care for the teeth so as to have them white and sound, telling how to treat those that are decayed, and how to prevent the decay of sound ones.Any focus leads to two things.

First, when you focus your attention on something, your are doing that at the exclusion of other things. It has been proven many times through real life tests that the notion of multitasking in not possible. Human beings are such creatures that their minds can set on one thing at a time. Second, focusing on a thing leads to new insights about the issue and you too develops ideas to improve your position. In others words the age old saying is accurate when it says whatever you focuses on expands and also expands you. So there was change.

Character was not about your personal traits of a good man or a good woman. That gave way to new novelty and new trend. Men and women were admired not because they have good personal character or have virtues. No. Men and women began to be admired or considered on how they dress. To put it quite simply, the Rococo period was the age of fashion.

Eugen Weber in his book Europe From 1750 To Beyond describes this period where women were so much eager for projecting their sensuality that many even stopped wearing bloomers. Bloomer is the old term for panty. What is fashion but the an art or effort to promote woman sensuality?

With the woman body designed for sensuality become powerful frame for charm. Charm is the force that powerfully influences the imagination, desire, or will of another. Charm is fascination. It is a state when a person or people are fascinated by you. What is fascination? “Fascination” means “the act of Fascinating, or state of being Fascinated.” The word “Fascinate” originates from old Latin word “fascinare” meaning “to enchant ; bewitch, charm by body, body movements, eyes or tongue ; captivate, attract,” etc. In modern English word, “fascinate,” means: “To act upon by some powerful or irresistible influence; to influence by an irresistible charm; to allure, or excite, irresistibly or powerfully; to charm, captivate, or attract, powerfully; to influence the imagination, reason or will of another, in an uncontrollable manner ; to enchant, captivate or allure, powerfully or irresistibly.”

Please support us so that we do not fade away and close down, abd all be wasted. We are on a guest to save the world by bringing back the appreciation of history in the lives of people and build them up as solid persons with sound judgment.

During the Rococo period people began to focus on the sensual pleasures. From there we get novels and erotica, and erotic art. The Rococo period, roughly beginning around 1750 is a world much like our own. 1750 period was the beginning of the modern world.

Something horrible has happened in the 21st century and we are trying to fix that up. There has been a disconnect with our past in these 21st century. People are rootless and setting in is mental disease and mental illness. The 21st century period is the age of mental disorders and lack of sound mind and mental health. People have been disconnected with solid history. We are trying to bring back the connection. Please help us by donating here.
