The Master Key That Unlocks Sound Mental Health, Personal Success And Inner Peace

Finding yourself. Mental Health and HappinessEach human being has issues that hold him or her back from living fully with joy and more importantly with inner peace and satisfaction.Philosophy is an approach to life; a path to living great lives. Philosophy comes from the word sophia. Sophia means wisdom.

In ancient Greece where the greatness of philosophy led the Greeks to be far better people the notion of sophia was emphasised and became a way of life and center of life not kings and queens.

The application of sophia back then was thought of bringing in arête in a person. Arête is personal virtue, that is to say personal strength to suppress all life’s problems. Alternatively, as the philosopher Epictetus would say later on: harden your mind. The people who were taught sophia and lived sophia (or wisdom) were bonded together in a commonwealth.

A commonwealth of wise people, not a commonwealth of politics under king or president. It was about wisdom and men and women who have achieved the status of being wise. This common wealth of people were called Hellen (community of bonded people).

A commonwealth of Hellas. Out of that emerged the word and a period that was to be called Hellenistic Age, or Hellenistic period. The Greeks believed that all people (even the poor and slaves) can be taught to rise above the drudgery life and embrace wisdom. And so from the city of Athens emerged a group of men called the philosophes (philosophers).

The philosophes were a group of enlightened men who crisscrossed the known world teaching people Sophia, wisdom. Ultimately philosophy or the living of a virtuous life, a life of strength and character spread. The philosophes traveled everywhere trading in Sophia.

A lot of rulers learned from the philosophes. Take, for example, King Philip of Macedon. Philip appointed Aristotle to teach his son Alexander the Great.Applying what Aristotle taught him, (that is Sophia, wisdom), Alexander the Great went on to conquer the whole world.

Pause and think.Do you see the importance and power of philosophy?

Let us recap what we have said so far. We said that the Greeks being wise were able to dominate the whole world through ideas, ideas that made them civilised and be able to tackle the absurdities of life.

Second here, Alexander the Great using those ideas went on to conquer the whole world. Much can be said, but we bring only these two examples just for an illustration. It is in this view that, from the great works of the great master historian Eugen Weber, I have developed an audio program on this philosophy for you, so that you too can be able to suppress all your problems or harden your mind and become great and personally successful. This program will also build in you sound mental health.

Eugen Weber, “an Authority on History” — New York Times

I mention sound mental health because we are living in an age where people have mental collapse and mental breakdowns, stress, depression, and anxiety, completely being psychotic.

In this program, you get to hear from Eugen Weber himself, not a voice-over artist. The audio program is raw but very much clear.

The program begins by offering a solid background and history of this brand of powerful philosophy and discusses the philosophy in practice and how it affected Christianity and Christianity affect it.

Allow Eugen Weber to take you by his cool hand on a great journey into history, a history that will re-invent you away from pain.

It will simply lift you up!

  • The Sophists

As the 5th century BC ended a group of philosophers called the sophists appeared. The word sophiste means either one who makes wise or possibly one who deals with wisdom. These sophists were traveling itinerary teachers and lecturers travelling far and wide crisscrossing trading in Sophia. It was Sophia – Wisdom. It was arête – virtue. It was…
